Club Rules and Regulations

  1. All members and guests are subject to Calabasas Pickleball Club Rules & Regulations.

  2. Guests of members are required to abide by the same club rules & regulations as members, as applicable.

  3. Sportsmanship is a key component of our club. There is a zero-tolerance policy for any type of bullying, harassment, verbal, or physical abuse. The display of any such type of conduct will result in immediate expulsion from the facility.

  4. Anyone using the club are expected to behave kindly to all club personnel. There is no arguing over line calls. When the appropriate team is unable to determine a line call, the ball is considered "IN".

  5. Owners and Instructors may, at their discretion, pull any player from the court and issue a warning for undesirable conduct. This includes any conflicts on the court, abuse of equipment, non-payment of fees, or other conduct unbecoming or unsportsmanlike.

  6. Use of mobile phones are not permitted on court during play.

  7. Food & drink (other than water in bottles) is prohibited on court. Anything other than water may only be consumed off-court. Glass bottles are prohibited.

  8. Chewing gum is not permitted on any court.

  9. Only closed-toe Court shoes must be worn on the courts. No black soles unless they specifically say "non marking" on the bottom.

  10. Appropriate attire, including shirts, are required to be worn at all times. Members and guests must practice good hygine.

  11. Courts can be reserved through the Calabasas Pickleball Club Automation app. Members are subject to $15 per person fee if reservations are not cancelled 24 hours prior to the reservation. Reservations are made in one-hour increments and can reserved up to two hours at a time (subject to membership restrictions and court availability.

  12. All personal items (water bottles etc.) must be removed from the courts. The Club is not responsible for left or lost items. All left items are subject to disposal if not retrieved within 30 days. Unattended baggage will be confiscated and returned for a fee.

  13. Courts and surrounding areas must be kept in good condition. Members and guests will be required to deposit all garbage and/or recyclables into marked receptacles..

  14. Speakers and amplified sound devices are prohibited, unless authorized in advance of use by club management.

  15. Equipment must only be used for its intended purposes.

  16. Please bring any issues to the attention of the club management immediately.

  17. Prior approval must be granted for use or production of all marketing materials, brochures, flyers, banners or promotional activities of any kind. Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult while using any of the club facilities.

  18. There will be no pickleball before 7am or after 9pm. Members and their guests may only use courts within the hours of club operation.

  19. Court reservations are not transferrable between members and/or non-members.

  20. Reservations are made in one-hour increments and can reserved up to two hours at a time subject to membership limitations.

  21. Members must check-in for their reservation via the app no later than 5 minutes before their reservation time. If there is a failure to check in, the court will be given to members on the wait list.

  22. Subject to availability, walk up members are welcome on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  23. Private teaching/coaching is not permitted. Only coaches employed by the Club are permitted to provide lessons/instructions on Calabasas Pickleball Club courts.

  24. No pets, roller skating, skateboards, bicycles are allowed at the club (service dogs are permitted).

  25. Courts will be closed when they are wet.

  26. Smoking of any kind is prohibited anywhere on club grounds.

  27. Member guest fees will be charged to the member’s account.

  28. Challenge Courts

The challenge court(s) offer a slightly more competitive environment for play with an emphasis on balancing skill level on each court.

Court Definitions:

  1. Challenge Court: Utilized by the highest skilled players (5.0+). Advanced Court: DUPR of 4.0+

  2. Intermediate Court: DUPR of 3.5+

  3. Beginner Court

Challenge Court Rules:

  1. Winning partners can stay on court with a maximum limit of 2 consecutive games.

  2. Games will be played to 11, win by 2.

  3. After playing 2 consecutive games, winners must rotate off the court if there are 2 or more paddles in the court queue. Losing partners get priority to put their paddles in the court queue before winning partners who have won 2 consecutive games.

  4. Losing partners must rotate off the court if there are 2 or more paddles in the queue.

  5. If winners are staying on court and there are 2 or more paddles in the queue, then the 2 players at the top of the queue will challenge the winners.

  6. If winners are rotating off the court and there are 4 or more paddles in the queue, then the 4 players at the top of the queue will play the next game. If winners are rotating off the court and there are 3 paddles in the queue, then the 3 players at the top of the queue will play with one of the losing players.
